John Man those are some nice carppie--and on a clouser to boot. You have just give me some information here that I will use Thursday crappie fishing. I hope you kept those and deep fried them. Thanks for sharing
Nice fish. I've really only got into crappie once with a fly rod. It was a lot of fun. I've been keeping an eye out for them every since. They seem to hang around certain spots for really short periods of time.
Nice looking Crappies! I like to toss flies with peacock feathers at them. Clousers seem like they would keep those pesky bluegills away from stealing the fly. That is some great advice about the line too, I will have to try that. Nicely done. Tight LInes.
Thanks for the comments. This is on a city pond minutes from my house. The bottom has a lot of clay and sand so the clarity is great. They've been hungry and I'm trying to get one over 15", a couple have been close and I lost one that dwarfed the ones I've been catching (you lose a few of the ones you hook -- hence the name paper mouth). Yep, dinner.
Looks like dinner!!
