2 Days on the Driftless

I believe the reports about the fishing on the Driftless being the best it's ever been.

  1. i recognize the one waterway with HI done to it but I thought there were no bows in that? You must have fished southward to hook up on those bows. Impressive outing.

    1. Oh, the almighty Len Harris doesn't know all...except about hot dog recipes and ditching comrades under attack.

  4. Len - We did catch more bows on the lower, but we also took them in the middle and upper. We weren't expecting the rainbows. I've fished this river, in March, for 3 years now and hadn't gotten into the rainbows like this. Looking at the stocking history they've been dropping plenty of broodstock bows into this water for many years.

Three of us stripping streamers. We caught many browns too but the bows and the one big brown made the blog roll.

Those are some insane bows. What was the pattern you landed those beauties on?

Those are some outstanding bows. Makes me want to get out and go. The streamers will produce the better fish when conditions are slow. Thanks for sharing
