Thanks all. Bill, we caught a few on clousers. Once we found out they would hit poppers we never went back to subsurface flies. It was pretty sweet. Often we could see the wake coming...
Loved that video! Top water smallies are the best! That last part was pretty funny. We've all had that happen before. Looks like you had a great trip. How long were you up there?

I absolutely love chasing smallmouth bass over anything else on the fly rod. Excellent vid.
