Smallies! It's 55 degrees out today, tomorrow we've got a winter weather advisory. Good ol Iowa weather. The bite was on today. Find the rocks and you find the smallies. This clear creek runs into the Cedar River. I lost my first 2 on a crawdad pattern and then stuck with this leach pattern. Casting across the water, mending the line, and getting to the bottom seemed to work best. There is another creek running into the Cedar about 2 miles down from this one, I scoped it out today and was turned off by the No Trespassing / Fishing signs.
